Why Coconut Wax?

Our coconut wax is a sustainable and ethically sourced natural wax that burns cleaner, cooler, and longer than traditional petroleum, coal, or GMO based waxes. Our wax meets FDA requirements for use in non-food articles in contact with food as per 21 CFR 172.880.

What is in Space Mist® and why does separation occur?

Space Mist® is made with 100% natural, organic, wild harvested witch hazel; and gluten-free, non-gmo grain alcohol (from corn). DOES NOT CONTAIN SULFATES, ALLERGENS, OR SYNTHETICS DYES. Separation occurs naturally, because we do not use the traditional gmo alcohols or chemicals that would typically "bind" the mist together. Shake & spray!!

What is the overall size of the candles?

Each candle is 3.75" w x 4.1" h and weigh approximately 1.7lbs.

Why two wicks instead of one?

Single wick and multiple wick candles all depend on the diameter if the vessel, and the type of wax (how firm or soft). This particular wax (soft) and vessel size, requires two wicks so that it burns/melts evenly across at a steady rate.

How can I keep my candle from tunneling?

The most important factor here is to make sure that your very first burn is a good one! Let it burn for at least 3 hours, let the wax melt all the way to the edge. Tunneling occurs when you do not allow the wax to fully melt to the edges, and it will continue to tunnel further with each burn.

What does it mean if my candle is giving off lots of black soot?

Your wicks need to be trimmed shorter, or your candle is in a very drafty area (under a ceiling fan or in a heavy traffic path. Trim those wicks and move your vessel to a less drafty area.

Will the labels melt?

Only if you set them on fire, but don't do that! The labels are made of extremely durable film that withstands chemicals, sun, abrasion, water and extreme temperatures. They are also BS 5609 compliant.

I'm finished burning my candle and I would like to reuse my jar, how do I get the remaining wax out?

Once you have burned your candle to ½”, place your vessel in the freezer for 1 hour (minimum). The remaining wax and wicks should detach from the glass with minimal force of a butter knife. Hand wash the vessel with warm water and gentle soap. Use adhesive remover if necessary. Careful not to scratch your glass!

What kind of packaging do you use?

Candles are packaged in reusable, oversized, black velvet sacks (big enough to add tissue, crinkle paper, or a greeting card). Our sacks have a bottom gusset, and the double cord drawstring pulls the bag tight for a snug, sure closure. They are perfect for gifting as is, or you can even add a bow! Space Mist, REFUEL oil, sample kits, and smudge stick bundles are packaged in sleek, reusable frosted matte pouches.

What shipping carrier do you use? Average lead time? Do you print packing slips?

We ship USPS Priority and delivery times are typically 2-3 business days. (often faster). Free domestic priority shipping on orders $150+! All of our products are CUSTOM and made to order. We do not keep pre-made products on shelves. On average, it takes 2-3 days to process your order, and lead time to ship is about a week. Candles need time to cure before shipping. In an effort to reduce waste, we do not include physical packing slips in packages. Your order confirmation is emailed to you, and your shipment notification email also contains your order information. A packing slip is only included with your shipment if it is a gift, and you leave a special note for the recipient. The slip with your note will then be printed. (no prices shown of course)
